At Royal Britannia, we take pride in offering a learning experience that is nurturing, engaging, and developmentally appropriate, while ensuring that every child enjoys the joy of childhood. Our curriculum follows the British Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, carefully adapted to meet the needs of children with Special Educational Needs. We are committed to helping each child grow into a confident, caring, and curious learner who embodies the EYFS principles of exploration, creativity, and positive relationships.
Our dedicated Homeroom and Specialist Teachers deliver learning through play-based and inquiry-led experiences, encouraging children to make meaningful connections across all areas of development. Learning is enriched by our Therapy Team, which includes Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Behaviour Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Music Therapy, ensuring that each child receives individualised support to reach their full potential.
Each child’s learning journey begins with an initial assessment, carried out collaboratively by our Therapists and Homeroom Teacher, to identify areas requiring additional support. Progress is continuously monitored through classroom observations and dynamic assessments, which are regularly updated to reflect each child’s growth and development.
RB values inclusiveness and family collaboration. Our environment is designed to support children with a range of abilities, fostering growth through differentiated instruction, sensory-rich experiences, and therapeutic interventions. We also hold termly Parent Meetings throughout the year to share outcomes, celebrate achievements, and discuss strategies to support learning both at school and at home. We believe that success in early education is built not only within the classroom but also through strong partnerships with families, a cornerstone of our community.
We warmly invite you to visit Royal Britannia and experience firsthand the care, dedication, and joy that make our learning environment truly special.
